Certification for the

Healthy Companies

Thanks to the agreement signed between DCH and ACES Europe, the International Healthy and Sporting Company recognition has been awarded since 2016 at the European Parliament (Brussels) at the gala held annually., coinciding with the presentation of the European Capitals and Cities of Sport Award. This award, which from 2023 evolves its format to become a certification, recognizes companies that have deployed healthy policies to promote physical activity and health among their employees.

Certification Objectives and Requirements

In addition to the recognition, the certification implies an improvement by the company of the initiatives it has already implemented, for a period of three years. At the end of this period, the Award Evaluation Committee will re-evaluate its candidacy to recognize the additional effort made by the company.

Requirements:

  • Have a clear commitment to sport, physical activity and employee health.
  • Delivery of the requested documentation in three fundamental aspects, Health, Sports and Psychosocial Health.

Presentation of the candidacy and Evaluation

  • Please fill in the following form.

  • Evaluation of the submitted documentation and presentation of the project in online format to the Certification Evaluation Committee (presentation time 20-25 minutes and 10-15 minutes for possible questions from the Committee’s experts).

Evaluation

  • Once the application has been defended and evaluated, the company will be informed of the result of the application. Those whose results are favorable will receive official notification of their adhesion to the Program. The certification will be formalized at the annual gala held in December at the European Parliament in Brussels.

Follow-up

  • During the three years following the delivery of the certification, the Project will be monitored. During the first two years, the company will share new initiatives or information that will allow to see the evolution of the project. Likewise, the Committee of Experts will send the tips or recommendations it considers on an annual basis.

  • In the third year, the company will again present its project in online or face-to-face format to the Evaluation Committee, which will issue a report with the corresponding validation (gold, silver or bronze), to be awarded at the annual gala at the European Parliament (Brussels).
