The report collects data from 9,202 employees aged 18 to 64 in 23 countries around the world. The goal is to provide business and HR leaders with vital information to better understand what is valuable to their workforce and how to ensure their employees feel valued.
Aon’s study reveals that a shocking 60% of employees globally are already considering changing jobs and may or will definitely look for a new job in the next 12 months, revealing widespread dissatisfaction with their current job. In addition, employees surveyed showed a low commitment to improving their AI skills, with just over a third of employees globally feeling motivated to develop new skills to stay relevant when asked about new technology.
In Spain, the results show that although 18% of employees feel undervalued, only 30% are considering changing jobs in the next 12 months, highlighting the importance of economic and cultural stability in retaining talent.
At the same time, demand for flexibility is on the rise, with employees ranking work-life balance benefits, such as shared time or digital disconnect, as the third most valued benefit overall. Gen Z employees rank work-life balance programs as their second most valued benefit, just behind medical benefits and surpassing paid time off, professional development and retirement savings.
