DCH Global Board Meeting
Prior to the 2nd DCH Global Human Capital Summit, the DCH Global Board of Directors meeting was held on June 6. This event, held both in person and online, brought together business leaders from around the world to discuss and share best practices in human capital management.
The meeting was structured in various working groups, allowing participants to share and discuss the most successful initiatives implemented in their respective companies and countries of origin. This format facilitated a dynamic and enriching exchange of experiences, providing managers with the opportunity to learn from strategies and approaches that have proven to be effective in different cultural and business contexts.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from senior management to continue promoting excellence in human capital management, relying on best practices and collaborative learning. Participants highlighted the importance of these meetings to strengthen the global DCH network and to continue advancing the implementation of innovative practices that benefit organizations and their employees.
II DCH GLOBAL HUMAN CAPITAL SUMMIT
DCH – International Organization of Human Capital Managers, in collaboration with the prestigious Universidad de los Andes School of Management, held on June 6, 2024 the II DCH Global Human Capital Summit. This meeting brought together more than 1,500 attendees with the support of Facthum, Ackermann International, Betterfly, Rankmi, Colsubsidio, Sacyr, Iseazy, Acrip Federación Colombiana de Gestión Humana and Semana Magazine.The program is offered in Bogota, Colombia, and online from the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America.
A great meeting held in hybrid format that was structured in 3 excellent blocks: Future of Work | Diversity | Data, Technology and Artificial Intelligence.
Many of the speakers and attendees traveled from all the countries where the organization operates: Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Uruguay, Brazil, Central America, Caribbean and U.S.A; to attend this second edition of the DCH Global Human Capital Summit with the objective of discovering innovative techniques, exchanging experiences and essential skills for professional and personal development.
This was able to create an unbeatable environment for collaborative learning and the promotion of excellence in talent management.
The event began with a warm and lively welcome by the Mistress of Ceremonies, Erika Taubert, Presenter and Homecenter Ambassador. She was followed by Elisabet Atusparia, DCH International Coordinator, to thank the host and sponsors for their support and collaboration.
Mauricio Olivera, Vice Rector of the Universidad de los Andes, and Livi Betancur, President of the Board of Directors of DCH Colombia and Vice President of Human and Administrative Talent of Seguros y Servicios Bolivar, offered words of welcome to all the attendees.
FUTURE OF WORK
The Future of Work block began with a spectacular presentation from Jesus Antonio MuñozFounder and academic coordinator of the senior management and strategic leadership program of the Universidad de los AndesThe company’s mission is to provide a comprehensive and innovative approach to the implementation of innovative strategies that align business objectives with the needs of human talent, and how to optimize internal processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
In addition, the importance of focusing on people was emphasized, fostering an inclusive and motivating work environment that enhances the professional and personal development of employees.
Martha CastañoHuman Resources Manager of Colsubsidio, continued this revealing block, as a speaker, and began his presentation by “Towards an innovative and sustainable working future“in which he analyzed and explained that Human Resources departments can be the engine of change and development within organizations, leading key initiatives that transform the way roles, work and the employee experience are conceived and executed.
This presentation was designed to provide HR leaders and professionals with the following information. the necessary tools and knowledge to lead these transformations within their organizations.
ROUND TABLE: Towards an Innovative and Sustainable Future
Erika Taubert introduced a panel comprised of Dulce Marchena, Director of Human Resources at Scotia Global Business Services, and Vice President of the Board of Directors of DCH Central America and the Caribbean, as Moderator. Dulce started the block with a Mentimeter in which the attendees participated in person and online, answering the question: What is the main driver of change towards a more innovative and sustainable work environment in your organization?

DIVERSITY
After a well-deserved recess, the winner of the Ranking of Companies Committed to Youth 2024recognition of the International Youth Organization for Iberoamerica and DCH – International Organization of Human Capital Managerswhich brings together companies and private sector entities that consider intergenerational objectives and propose solutions to encourage young people in their transition to working life and the construction of their own autonomy. This year the first place in the TOP 10 went to TATA Consultancy Services.
The result of the ranking was evaluated by an Evaluation Committee composed of Universities: ESADE (Spain), ESIC Business School (Spain), Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico), Universidad EAFIT (Colombia), Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (Chile), PAD Escuela de Dirección Universidad Piura (Peru), ISE Business School (Brazil) and IAE Business School (Argentina).
Álvaro Lleo, Director of the Master in People Management in Organizations in the University of Navarra, The technical lecture on the use of the Barometer on the Implementation of Corporate Purpose in the Iberian Peninsula and Latin AmericaIn addition, in-depth analysis and relevant data were presented on how companies in the region are integrating corporate purpose into their operational strategies.
During the presentation, the most up-to-date results of the study were revealed, highlighting how companies are redefining their business models to align their objectives with a clear and meaningful purpose.

Diversity Renewed: Creating an Inclusive Work Environment.
The second roundtable on June 6 was attended by the following participants Sandra Suarez, President of the women’s circle of Semana magazine as moderator, Paola del Río, Corporate Director of Employee Experience at ILUNION, and member of the Board of Directors of DCH Spain , Livi Betancur, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Colombia and Vice President of Human Resources and Administration of Seguros y Servicios Bolivar, and Sergio Arangua, CHRO for Americas and Fuel Division at FEMSA, as panelists.
They discussed the most effective strategies for promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace, highlighting the importance of creating a work environment that values and respects individual differences. It was emphasized how diversity not only enriches organizational culture, but also drives innovation and improves the overall performance of companies.
DATA, TECHNOLOGY AND IA
The outstanding intervention of Veronica Torras, expert in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and recognized mentor, trainer and consultant in AI-ya!, offered a cutting-edge presentation on the application of Artificial Intelligence in the field of Human Resources. His presentation not only underscored the relevance of AI in modernizing talent management processes, but also inspired attendees to explore new technologies to optimize their work practices.
ROUND TABLE: Open Space
The final block was not only limited to presentations. Following the structure of the previous blocks, an Open Space Round Table was held, promoting an open space for the exchange of ideas and experiences among the participants. This format allowed attendees to interact directly with experts and colleagues, enriching the discussion on the role of technology and artificial intelligence in talent management.

One of the most vibrant and memorable moments of the day was the Motivational Lecture entitled “Humanizing the Technology of the Future”, presented by the outstanding International Speaker and DCH Chile Brand Ambassador, Denisse Goldfarb. His intervention not only captured the attention of the audience from the very first moment, but also resonated deeply with everyone present.
Denisse Goldfarb, known for her innovative approach and ability to connect with the audience, delivered a presentation full of energy and positivity. Throughout his presentation, he explored how technology, when used with a humanistic approach, can radically transform the field of human resources. Goldfarb stressed the importance of keeping the human element at the center of technological advances, emphasizing that true innovation lies in how these tools can improve people’s lives and work.
The finale of the event was marked by the words of thanks from Juan Carlos Pérez Espinosa, who expressed his gratitude to the Universidad De Los Andes for its magnificent collaboration as host of the summit. WORKSHOPS JUNE 7TH
The day after the Summit we were able to enjoy an atmosphere of learning and networking through a series of Workshops, which had a high level of participation from the attendees.
As expected, the expert speakers at these online workshops delivered high quality content, full of practical knowledge and innovative strategies. Each session was designed to address current and future challenges in talent management, providing attendees with tools and techniques they can implement immediately in their organizations.
At the Generative AI Workshop, Francisco Marin, Co-Founder & CEO of Cognitive Talent Solutions, demonstrated how artificial intelligence can be a powerful ally in the transformation of human resources processes. From optimizing recruitment to customizing training and professional development, attendees were able to see real-world examples of how these technologies are revolutionizing the field.
The workshop on HR Technology by Felipe Cuadra, CXO & Co-Founder of Rankmi, focused on the latest trends and tools available in the market. Experts shared success stories and best practices on how to integrate advanced technologies, such as automation and data analytics, to improve efficiency and decision making in human resources.
Finally, the Workshop on Employee Experience 4.0 by Verónica Pastor, BP of People and Organization at Repsol, and Lecturer at OBS Business School, was dedicated to exploring how to create more attractive and productive work environments. The speakers discussed strategies to improve employee satisfaction and engagement by adapting to the new demands of the digital work environment. Issues such as work flexibility, emotional well-being and continuing professional development opportunities were addressed.
