The general secretary of ONCE Foundation and Inserta Empleo and director of Transformation, Excellence and Equality of ONCE Foundation, Virginia Carcedo, and the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Seville, Francisco Herrero, have signed an agreement to promote the employment of people with disabilities. Carcedo said that, thanks to this agreement, “the companies that are part of the Chamber of Commerce of Seville will know firsthand the importance of labor inclusion of people with disabilities, and also take advantage of the talent they bring to the workforce”. For this, he added, “they will have Inserta Empleo, an ONCE Foundation entity specializing in labor intermediation, providing them with the profiles best suited to their needs”. For his part, Herrero explained that the signing of this agreement is “a significant step” for the entity he presides in its “commitment to promote inclusion and social welfare.” “This agreement reflects our firm intention to support people with disabilities, providing opportunities and resources that contribute to their personal and professional development.” “Diversity and inclusion are fundamental pillars for a more just and equitable society. By collaborating with Fundación ONCE, we align ourselves with a leading organization in the promotion of equal opportunities and the integration of people with disabilities. We are confident that this alliance will enable us to implement concrete initiatives that will not only benefit people with disabilities, but will also enrich our company and society as a whole,” he added. Finally, he stressed that the agreement “is a testament” to the “ongoing commitment” of the entity he chairs to corporate social responsibility and its “determination to be agents of positive change.” “Together, with Fundación ONCE, we will work to eliminate barriers and create a more inclusive and accessible environment for all,” he concluded. The agreement contemplates the coordination and mutual support of both entities in actions that favor labor inclusion. In addition, it makes available to companies belonging to the Chamber of Commerce of Seville the labor intermediation services of Inserta Empleo, the implementation of training for employment for people with disabilities appropriate to their needs and the promotion of sectoral studies to identify employment opportunities for the group. In addition, it also includes the establishment of a strategy for dissemination, information and advice aimed at making Chamber members aware of the advantages of hiring people with disabilities, incentives and social benefits, as well as cases of good practices.
