Fundación ONCE and Fundación Tecnologías Sociales (Tecsos) have signed a collaboration agreement to improve the social integration of people with disabilities through technology.

The agreement was signed in Madrid by Virginia Carcedo, general secretary of Fundación ONCE, and Julián Andújar, managing director of Tecsos, who agreed on the importance of reaching agreements like this one to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities and to do so, as in this case, by putting technology at the service of the cause.

The document contemplates collaboration measures between the two entities to “implement measures and promote initiatives that favor the full and effective social inclusion of people with disabilities, through new innovative responses where technology can contribute to personal autonomy”.

Thus, the agreement aims to promote innovation, digitalization and new technologies as levers to promote the social inclusion of people with disabilities, mainly through training, employment and universal accessibility.

It also aims for Fundación ONCE and Tecsos to collaborate in the identification of innovation projects in which to participate jointly and/or in collaboration with other entities.

In this line, it points out that both entities will work together in the dissemination of knowledge by participating in and helping to promote dissemination activities related to this cause, such as conferences, congresses or awards.
