DCH – International Organization of Human Capital Executives – awards the X DCH CEO Award for Excellence in People Management to Cristina Burzako, CEO of Movistar Plus+. Este prestigioso galardón, que se concede anualmente, reconoce a líderes empresariales que se distinguen por su destacada labor en la gestión de personas. The initiative, which is celebrating its tenth edition in Spain, is also being carried out simultaneously in all countries where DCH has a presence.

The award winner is chosen by a vote of DCH’s active members, human capital managers, from the candidates proposed by the organization’s Board of Directors.

Cristina Burzako is CEO of Movistar Plus+ and advisor at Buendía Estudios, Pau Gasol Foundation and Deusto Business School. With a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Deusto and Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Cristina has more than 25 years of experience in large companies in the Media, Telecommunications, FMCG, E-commerce and Education sectors.

Firmly convinced that the main asset in any company is the team, Cristina has led profound transformation processes in more than 30 businesses in different industries and in up to 13 markets, always focusing on motivation, respect and trust in people. In addition, Cristina is Telefónica’s diversity leader and a mentor for high potential young people within the company.

In 2023 she has been recognized by Forbes and El Mundo as one of the most influential women in Spain. Other awards received were: “Best Professional Career 2022” by Cinco Días, “Best Women Leaders in Europe 2021” by Adage, “Best MKT Professional 2020” by SCOPEN, “Best Professional Career 2019” by the EFI Jury Club, “Best MKT Professional 2018” by the MKT Association and “Woman to Watch 2018”.

The DCH CEO Award for Excellence in People Management is one of the most prestigious awards in human resources, highlighting business leaders who foster an inspiring and collaborative work environment. Cristina Burzako joins a distinguished list of previous winners.

The award ceremony will take place on June 20 at the headquarters of Banco Santander, as part of the DCH Dialogues between CEOs, CHROs and CFOs, in collaboration with the Círculo de CFOs and IESE Business School. This event brings together leaders from Human Resources, Finance and CEOs to share experiences and synergies from different perspectives.

After the presentation of the award, the winner will share a dialogue in interview format with the main media in the Human Resources area. Participants Human Capital, Teams & Talent, Human Resources Forum and HR Observatory. HH.
