Madrid, May 13, 2025<\/strong> – IESE Business School<\/strong><\/a> ‘s Madrid campus hosted the DCH Annual Meeting of CEOs, CHROs and CFOs<\/em> on Tuesday, a benchmark event for the business ecosystem, organized by DCH – the International Human Capital Executives Organization – together with IESE Business School. The event brought together prominent leaders from the corporate world to reflect on the role of leadership, purpose and organizational culture in a context of constant transformation.<\/p>\n

The event was opened by Alberto P\u00e9rez <\/strong>and Laura Blanco, <\/strong>Director of ESG and Institutional Relations of Atisa<\/strong>, who welcomed the attendees and thanked the sponsors and especially IESE, co-organizer of the meeting, for their participation. The institutional welcome was given by Mar\u00eda Coello de Portugal<\/strong>, Associate Director of IESE Madrid, and Juan Carlos P\u00e9rez Espinosa<\/strong>, Global President of DCH.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday more than ever, organizations need leaders who understand the power of purpose and talent management as a driver of transformation,\u201d said Maria Coello de Portugal in her speech.<\/p>\n

For his part, Juan Carlos P\u00e9rez Espinosa highlighted DCH’s international expansion, announcing the opening of the headquarters in France: \u201cThe DCH community continues to grow and cross borders. Today we take another step towards a global network of leadership in human capital\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Recognition of Excellence: Elena Sanz, CEO of Mapfre Iberia<\/h2>\n

One of the most anticipated moments of the event was the presentation of the DCH CEO Award for Excellence in People Management<\/strong>, which in this edition went to Elena Sanz<\/strong>, CEO of Mapfre Iberia. The award was presented by Juan Carlos P\u00e9rez Espinosa and Mar\u00eda Coello de Portugal.<\/p>\n

\u201cElena Sanz represents the commitment to human, innovative management aligned with the corporate purpose,\u201d said P\u00e9rez Espinosa when presenting the award.<\/p>\n

During her speech, Elena Sanz expressed her gratitude: \u201cI am deeply honored by this recognition. At Mapfre we believe in people as the axis of any transformation. This award is a collective recognition of the efforts of all of us who are part of the project\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>

After receiving the award, Sanz was interviewed by leaders of specialized media such as Francisco Garc\u00eda Cabello<\/strong>, from Foro Recursos Humanos, and Marcelino Abad<\/strong>, from Capital Humano, in a dialogue moderated by P\u00e9rez Espinosa. The conversation revolved around inclusive leadership, the new challenges of people management and the commitment to human sustainability.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Purpose, governance and human finance<\/h2>\n

The event continued with the presentation of the III Barometer on the implementation of Corporate Purpose in Iberia and LatAm<\/strong>, by \u00c1lvaro Lleo<\/strong>, Director of the Master in Managing People in Organizations at the University of Navarra and affiliated with Harvard. \u00c1lvaro highlighted: \u201cWe are seeing how purpose is no longer a slogan but a real strategic lever\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The agenda continued with the Directors’ Dialogue<\/strong>, moderated by Gema Monedero<\/strong>, Senior Partner at Ackermann. Key figures such as Carmen Motell\u00f3n<\/strong>, Independent Director of Cecabank<\/strong>, and Javier Gimeno<\/strong>, CEO and Director of Family Office<\/strong>, offered an expert view on the role of governance bodies in the consolidation of sustainable cultures.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe value of a company lies not only in its balance sheets, but in its social and ethical impact,\u201d remarked Carmen Motell\u00f3n. In turn, Javier Gimeno affirmed: \u201cCorporate sustainability must be integrated into the financial model, not as an add-on, but as a pillar\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Integrated decisions and values in the age of AI<\/h2>\n

The technical presentations offered a complementary vision. Fernando Caballero de la Sen<\/strong>, Managing Director of Aon Global Risk Consulting<\/strong>, addressed the convergence between financial and human decisions. \u201cThe integration between financial strategy and talent management is vital for organizational resilience,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

Later, Pablo Guti\u00e9rrez Merelles<\/strong>, leadership expert and author, offered a powerful reflection under the title \u201cValues in times of artificial intelligence\u201d.<\/em>\u201cIn an increasingly digital world, human values are the source code of the leadership of the future,\u201d he stated emphatically.<\/p>\n<\/div>

High-level dialogue between CEOs, CFOs and CHROs<\/h2>\n

The climax of the day came with the Dialogue Table between CEOs, CFOs and CHROs<\/strong>, moderated by \u00cd\u00f1igo Manso<\/strong>, CEO of BChange, who led an interactive and enriching debate. Participants included Ana Camp\u00f3n, <\/strong>CFO Siemens Spain<\/strong>, Juan Antonio Alan\u00eds, <\/strong>Vice President of Grupo Global Exchange<\/strong>, and \u00c1lvaro V\u00e1zquez, <\/strong>Director of People Iberia and LatAm at Verisure Securitas Direct.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe role of the CFO has evolved: today we lead not only from profitability, but also from a vision of the future and purpose,\u201d said Ana Camp\u00f3n. Juan Antonio, for his part, pointed out: \u201cInclusive and courageous leadership is the one that generates real impact\u201d. \u00c1lvaro V\u00e1zquez added: \u201cTalent is the most powerful competitive advantage. We must protect it, develop it and give it meaning\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The closing of the meeting was as inspiring as it was original. Mentalist Ram\u00f3n Fauria<\/strong> gave a speech entitled \u201cPeople leadership: hacking minds in a positive way\u201d,<\/em> in which he combined neuroscience, communication and psychology applied to leadership. \u201cThe leaders of the future not only inspire, but transform the way we think collectively,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n

Finally, Laura Blanco<\/strong> and Alberto P\u00e9rez<\/strong> closed the meeting by thanking the more than 200 attendees, the speakers and the organizing team.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe future of organizations is built from collective intelligence, ethical coherence and humanistic leadership,\u201d summarized Laura Blanco in her closing remarks.<\/p>\n<\/div>
