Madrid, 03/26/2025 – Yesterday, the CEOE headquarters hosted the meeting “Keys to the future of education and talent”, organized by AMETIC, in which leading experts analyzed the challenges and opportunities in training and employability in the digital era.

The event began with welcoming remarks by Francisco Hortigüela, President of AMETIC, who emphasized the fundamental role of education, stating that “Education is the basis of society, of companies and of everything”. He also referred to AMETIC’s Proposal for a State Pact for Education, stressing that its objective is to promote individual education for global development, ensuring that the education system adapts to the challenges of a world in constant evolution.
This was followed by the first round table, which addressed key issues such as educational vision and strategy, innovation and technology, talent development, performance evaluation and the challenges and opportunities facing the education system.
During the session, participants agreed on the need for greater alignment between educational institutions and the business world to ensure training adapted to the demands of the labor market.
Talent and employability in the digital age
The second part of the event focused on the relationship between talent and employability in the digital era, with a round table discussion with the participation of Juan Carlos Pérez Espinosa, Global President of DCH – International Organization of Human Capital Managers.
During his speech, Juan Carlos stressed the need to promote development in the educational model, emphasizing that the key to improving the employability of students lies in training that is more connected to business reality.
He also insisted on the importance of learning from “trial and error” as well as “trial and error”, and on the importance of teaching methodologies that allow students to develop practical skills from the beginning of their training.
One of the highlights of his speech was the need to facilitate the integration of students into companies from an early stage. In this regard, he called for strengthening collaboration between educational institutions and companies, promoting dual training programs and learning experiences in real work environments.
